SAN DIEGO, CA – May. 19, 2015 – Canter Companies, a full-service investment and real estate firm dedicated to the entire lifecycle of developments and investments, is the proud sponsor of the charity cooking series called One Chef, One Dish, One San Diego. The charity event benefits the San Diego Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program and each month a renowned chef from San Diego will prepare an amazing meal for 20 guests. The first installment in the cooking series was held on Tuesday, May 19 at the Harvard Cookin’ Girl, a La Jolla based cooking school. Harvard Cookin’ Girl owner Bibi Kasrai opened her kitchen for the evening to Grand Chef William Bradley of Addison at The Grand Del Mar who prepared an extraordinary meal for 20 guests.
“At Canter Companies we are focused on giving back to our community and always looking for charitable opportunities,” said Andrew Canter, founder and CEO of Canter Companies. “Finding a charitable event that also highlights the emerging food scene in San Diego was a win-win and we’re thrilled to support a wonderful program like this.”
The San Diego Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program provides weekend food packages to elementary school students from low-income households throughout San Diego. Each cooking event will have a similar format that provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the celebrated chefs and their cooking style.
