Although we don’t typically like to boast about our endeavors, every once in a while, something comes along that we get excited to share with some our friends in the community. We are so proud to announce that one of our own Canter Development projects is featured on the cover of Luxe Magazine this month! Andrew Canter, Canter Companies CEO, brought together a team of design and architecture professionals that worked with him to create his new Windansea home that turned out to be a true work of art. An incredible amount of time and effort went into completing this amazing project and we feel so honored to be recognized for it.

HOME OF CANTER COMPANIES CEO FEATURED ON COVER OF LUXE MAGAZINE
San Diego, CA – Combining the art of creativity and pushing the limits of design and architecture has landed the home of Andrew Canter, CEO of Canter Companies, on the cover and inside the most recent edition of Luxe Magazine. It is the first time the La Jolla home, a Canter Development project completed in July of 2012, has been showcased in a major publication.
[/custom_frame_left]The San Diego edition of Luxe Magazine features a 12 page spread unveiling details about the spectacular intricacies of the home. Located on a compact lot measuring only 25 feet wide by 100 feet long, the construction of the 3,200 square foot home called for what Luxe feature writer Jorge S. Arango dubbed “Extreme Measures.” Owner Andrew Canter, along with his design team Fred Gemmell and Lauren Williams of Matrix Design Studio, architect Stösh Podeswik, home builder Ryan Hill, of Hill Construction, and the landscaper Justin Williams, of La Jolla Landscape & Design, were all featured in the article citing just how remarkable the project was.
“I think I speak for everyone involved in the project when I say that we are absolutely thrilled to have our efforts and creativity recognized by an esteemed publication like Luxe Magazine,” said Canter. “I am so appreciative of the team for working with me to make such an extreme vision become a reality.” Canter was confident that the team he brought together could handle the undertaking, including structural engineer Curtis Patterson of Patterson Engineering who was tasked with creating a sturdy enough design to hold a pool on the roof above two cantilevered levels. Canter added, “It was our ability to process and overcome these hurdles that made the final product truly unique.”
